About the Company

Commspec is located at Viking Court, Viking Way on the Enterprise Zone, Swansea and began trading in 1983. The Company was one of the first Maxon dealerships in the UK (1984) and has also been a long established Tait dealership (1986). The premises at Viking Court include reception, administrative office, workshops, stores and a two-vehicle fitting bay.

The Company operated a quality system to ISO9002 for some years and this has now been upgraded to the current ISO9001:2000. The quality system has also been awarded the two-way radio industry's own standard, the 'Radio Quality Assurance Scheme' (RQAS). Technical staff are fully trained on all the products supplied and regularly attend factory up-date courses on newly introduced products.

Our workshops are fully equipped with the latest radio test equipment which, as part of our Quality System, is regularly calibrated by the manufacturers to standards which are traceable to national standards. As a service to our taxi customers, Commspec are appointed agents for Digitax, H.A.C., Halda and Cygnus taxi meters and can supply, install, calibrate and retariff all products from these companies together with the supply and installation of a range of taxi roof and screen signs.

Office hours:

Monday to Thursday, 8.55am to 4.55pm.
Friday 8.55am to 4.25pm. We are closed for Lunch between 12.30 and 1.15pm daily.

We are also closed on Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

Payment Terms

For all non-account work, payment is due on completion.
We accept payment by cash, Switch and most leading credit cards. Payment by cheque is no longer accepted.
